Julie & Andy welcome you to our lovely Tearoom and Garden

Sitting snugly alongside Pevensey Castle, whose ancient walls have warlike tales to tell, Castle Cottage Tearoom recalls instead the leisurely pace of taking tea and its peaceful place in history.

Besieged only by troops of teacups, trained and at the ready to chink in harmony with saucers, sugar tongs and silver spoons, our tearoom invites you to surrender the stresses of modern life, nestle into nostalgia and share in the delight of simply taking tea….as it used to be.

Opening hours: Summer Opening Hours: Wednesday – Sunday 10:am – 4:pm …until further notice

history
Serving traditional tearoom fare prepared with passion on the premises, Castle Cottage Tearoom is the perfect venue for morning coffee, light lunches and the elegant indulgence of a three tiered afternoon tea.

As tea pours effortlessly from the reassuring roundness of a proper pot, sumptious scones and lusciously light cakes are served on bone china in an unhurried haven of bygone charm.

Carefully prepared gluten free options are always available whilst younger guests can enjoy the perfect proportions of smaller sized treats.
